Introduction: The Spring is supposed to be the loveliest of all seasons. It is called the king of seasons. The natural beauty, weather, colour and charm of this season are the most congenial than those of other seasons. Hence I like this season best. Indeed it is a favourite of all.

Time: In the cycle of seasons Spring comes after Winter. Falgoon and Chaitra are the months of Spring. Though its duration is two months, it comes and goes almost imperfectly. Its duration seems to be so short that it disappears before our realization.

Season of flowers: The Spring is the season of flowers. Many kinds of flowers bloom. They are of all colours. The fine display of their colours is especially fascinating. Roses, Beli, and Rajaniganda are the flowers of the Spring. Flowers attract bees and butterflies. Bees hum and fly from flower to flower in search of honey.

Season of songs: The Spring is the season of songs. All kinds of birds keep twittering. The 'wandering notes' of the Cuckoo go direct to the heart of the people.

Season of new life: The Spring brings new life to all the trees and plants. With the advent of spring, nature puts on a gay and lovely appearance. Every object of nature becomes fresh. Trees put forth new leaves. Flowers bloom forth in a thousand. All the nature looks gay and fresh cooling.
