International Trade Fair (আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্য মেলা)
International Trade Fair is an event at which many national and international companies and manufacturers show and sell their products. Developed and developing countries arrange this type of fair to get international recognition and renown for their products.
The Munich Trade Fair and the Tokyo Trade Fair are such kinds of trade fairs. Bangladesh, being a developing country, also organizes International Trade Fair every year.
The fair is held at Agargaon in Dhaka. It starts from the first day of the month of January and lasts till the end of the month. Various national and international companies set up their stalls with attractive and colourful designs.
The venue is also very colourfully decorated with spectacular arches, monuments, fountains and various decoratives. To draw visitors, there are also arrangements for entertainment and recreation.
Prominent national and international companies open up stalls with their latest products. The products include items like sewing needles for transport. Plastic ware, porcelain-ware, silverware, glassware, kitchen-ware, electric ware, leather goods, garments, and electronic items of noted brands are displayed for sale. Many companies also sell their products at reductions.
The fair premises dazzle with a riot of brilliant coloured lights in the evening. Visitors pay an entry fee to enter the venue. People come to visit the fair with all their family members. They enjoy it a lot. Strict security is maintained on the fair premises.
